HOORAY! I have no real reason, but I became slightly obsessed with doing some updates in the laundry room. It is the smallest room in our house, and it has a door, so I sort of thought 1. it would be the cheapest room to do and 2. it has a door that i can shut if i don't like it! I love, love, love our house. But, it is a whole lot of the same color. We have painted E's and Gracie's rooms, but I have been itching to do more...nothing wild, but maybe a little color here and there! We originally thought each room in our house was painted the same beige color, but after some trials and mainly errors, we discovered, it is in fact several different versions of the same color! So, anyway, back to the laundry room.
The beige before (i also updated the knobs on the cabinets from a creme to a brushed nickel)

one wall that originally had a hanger for an ironing board and iron...but didn't fit our ironing board and a wire shelf.

| i'm loving the color...it is not exactly blue but not exactly grey. it makes the room feel bright, crisp and clean. plus, the cabinets sort of have a blue/grey grain, so, in my opinion, it looks wonderful with the cabinets! |

| and the new laundry bags on the wall that used to have the wire shelf. we still are going to trim out the wood sections to make it even prettier, but i am currently loving having all the laundry off the floor. the room isn't exactly wide, so if you put a basket that was tall and had any amount of depth to it, you couldn't really open the dryer. NOW, with these little gems hanging on the wall, we are organized and you can stand in the room AND open the dryer door...AT THE SAME TIME. |
