More pics of my beautiful baby that I took today since I got to stay home and hang out with him :)

ahhhh...mommy! there is a boy RIGHT in front of me and he is copying me!!!!

i know for a fact that when i sleep like this it is not this cute....

Evan really digs his new toys!

thanks to lisa for loaning this to us! he loves it!!!

Evan LOVES the lake!

uncle phil stayed to hang out with e as we passed through new castle on the way home from the lake.
tillie does still exist. she just doesn't get as much camera time, but i thought she looked very picturesque in my parent's yard. thank you lisa for loaning evan this awesome toy! he is actually obsessed with it!
evan covered in his toys on the ride from the lake. he gets annoyed that he can't fit this one in his mouth.
sooooo sleepy! evan thoroughly enjoys his naps in the boat he can stand!
you might of thought that i was holding him up, but NO check this little man out! standing up all by himself.

so, evan has been sleeping unswaddled since friday. he is starting to get the hang of it but will not sleep on his back. the second you put him down, he will either roll to his side on on his belly. i don't sleep so well because i am constantly checking to make sure he is ok, but as he gets better rolling himself from his belly to his back and back to his belly, i know i will start to be more relaxed. i can't get over how cute he was this morning with his knees tucked up under him so his cute little bum was in the air :).

Remembering Uncle Bill

Our family lost a great man yesterday. My Great Uncle Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep. Evan was able to meet Uncle Bill just two weeks ago! Even though he is too young to remember that weekend, I can't wait to show him pictures and share with him the memories that I have. And to tell him that he got to sit and visit with Uncle Bill over the Fourth of July in 2009...

Happy 4 Months

Evan is 4 months old today! He weighs in at 14 lbs and 9 oz (51st percentile) and is 26.5" long (95th percentile). We are going to cut out dairy for a bit since he isn't gaining as much weight as he was and has dropped percentiles. Hopefully that helps with is non-stop spitting! But he looks great and is a very active, happy little guy!

Its a ROLL

aunt mal and her boyfriend karl came to visit we got him new toys for his carseat! see how excited he was to try them out?? actually, he really does love them...he spins them non-stop! i think he is pointing?
another new toy!!! this kid is living the sweet life :)
whoa.... So, Evan has figured out how to pull his arm out from underneath him, and I know that he has rolled all the way from his back to his belly 3 times. OF COURSE, I didn't witness any of these. I put him on his back on the floor twice and when I walked back in the room he was on his belly. And, just a few minutes ago, I turned my head to finish up an email, and once again, the little guy whipped himself onto his belly. I am not taking my eyes off of him until he does it again!

Get this kid some toys!!!

poor evan! we don't have much in they way of activities for the little guy. his aunt kate was looking out for him and got him a very nice activity playmat which he thoroughly enjoys, but after that his options are limited. last night we went to kelly's house, and evan was loving the walker. he just sat in it and pushed all of the buttons to entertain himself! he also really enjoyed the baby einstein activity center that grant had.

Happy 4th of July!!!

We made our annual 4th of July trek up to Lake Tippy with our good friends, Kelly and Jacob and their two kids Olivia and Grant...

Olivia's first tubing experience...she might have smiled once, but for the most part she just cried
E and Grandpa hanging out on the swing
Grant LOVES the hammock...
woohoo Evan! Going for the older woman ;)
this one is going to be TROUBLE when she is a teen ;)
what? i color better with my tongue out too!
yes, it is summer. yes, Evan is dressed for winter. it was a bit on the cold side for the weekend of the 4th...
i clearly need to shower, but evan looks pretty darn cute!
Evan LOVES playing with his daddy!
watch the progression of pictures...
1. awww...we are best friends just hanging out in the boat
2. oh no! oh no! mom, i think grant is trying to eat my arm
3. he is eating my arm! how do i get it back??!!!??
(side note: they were holding each other's hands SO tightly that all of their fingers were white! i think they might have been trying to arm wrestle, but grant got distracted by how tasty evan's arm was :) ) these next two pictures are significant b/c evan has only napped 3 times in his long life for longer than 45 minutes. two of the times were b/c he didn't sleep the night before (or the week before for one nap) and one was just sort of random. he has NEVER slept unswaddled for more than 15 minutes on his back. at the lake, i put him down for his nap in the boat, and these are pictures TWO HOURS LATER!!!! i ended up having to wake the little guy up b/c we had to leave. since then, he has napped for grammy (who babysat twice this week) from 8am-10am both days and 1 hour naps for his other 2-3 naps. Let's see if grandpa (who is babysitting today and tomorrow) can keep the good napping streak alive!!!

Roll Baby ROLL!

Evan is starting to roll over! WHICH means no leaving him and expecting him to be in exactly the same place any more and turning your back while he is on the changing table is completely out of the question! Right now he sort of just rolls himself up on one side (left typically) and almost gets himself completely on to his belly before rolling back on his back. He is also starting to move his legs in a crawling motion when he is on his belly...before he just used to pump his legs randomly. So, it is only a matter of time before he learns to push himself up and get moving! AHHHHHHHHHH! Maybe we should make an attempt to childproof the townhome??
