Sweatin' to the Oldies

After dinner, Evan likes to get in a light workout before bed. He feels it aids in digestion.

California - round 3

Matching Pjs from Grammy. Evan is loving Zoe's head.Aunt Kate is explaining to Evan how to hold Zoe's handUncle Brian needed to be here for the pictures...I'm not that great at staging. He definitely would have figured out that we didn't need the Boppy and should have just put them both on the floor. Evan thought Zoe's bouncer was pretty comfortable...either that or he liked all the attention Zoe got when she was in it. Tummy time in the super cute outfit from Aunt Natalie, Uncle Bret and Evan!
Zoe's first time in the Baby Bjorn
I think she liked it

California - round 2

Uncle Bret cuddle time with Baby Zoe Evan is never allowed in the same room with a stroller again. This is what happens if he sees one.
You can see the train better if you squat Daddy.
Both my boys make the same face when they see trains
One of Evan's favorite spots...
Just taking a walk. Talking about boy stuff
The new little family! I don't know what everyone else sees, but to me, Zoe looks like mini Kate in this picture
Getting ready to ride the carousel
Evan may have gotten a bit scared with the carousel really picked up speed. Bret immediately grabbed him and jumped on quite possibly the smallest horse on the ride. Riding on the train with Daddy. It was pretty cute...Evan would hoo hoo when the train would blow its whistle

California...the first couple of days

2nd time out to California. MUCH different flying with a 16 month old than a 3 month old, but Evan really did great. Not a single meltdown! He did show us who was really in control though by falling asleep right before landing and Phoenix and waking up as we were boarding the flight to CA.
4am wake up call...LOVE changing time zones with a toddler
In between cuddle time with Zoe, we managed a trip to one of their great parks. Evan was a big fan of the toddler slides and swing set.

Not quite believing us that the big slide would be just as much fun as the little slide (he went down the little ones all by himself!!)But clearly he was convinced at the end...This might have been the slide the ripped my shorts right down the middle. Great news though, we didn't discover that fun fact until after I went to the grocery store AND Jamba Juice AND walked through a neighborhood on the way home. The park is exhausting...We also spent some time at the pool.Concentrating on NOT following the no running at the pool rule**DISCLAIMER** Evan is not in any way, shape or form hurting Zoe in the following pictures. It was adorable because he was actually very gentle without being told to be gentle.

"Mom-you mentioned she was born with a cone head. I think I can fix that."Fixing her hair...I guess I didn't learn supporting the newborn's head thing with Evan. Luckily he must have had a strong neck. This was one of the many moments that Evan felt that need to cuddle two seconds after I started holding Zoe.Sisters and Babies!

Tour of Indiana

Evan and I did an Indiana tour this weekend. Starting on Saturday, we drove 3.5 hours up to Chicago for Elizabeth's 1st birthday. Evan's favorite from the weekend (other than all the little people that he got to play with was balloons - or boons in Evan language). Saturday night after the party, we drove Great Grandma Shirley back to Lake Tippy so that we could see the Royle family on Sunday morning. Evan got to hang out with William just a few months ago. William clearly is excited to see Evan again! Evan...he isn't quite believing that it is the same baby from Aunt Kate's baby shower.
I took the pacifier out of Evan's mouth in hopes of getting a non-grumpy picture of the boys. Evan promptly shoved an animal cracker in his mouth. Both boys seem a little unsure of Emily in her attempts to get them looking in the same direction for the pic.
