Hey there ; )

I have no idea how he got it like this, but this is what I found when I heard Evan awake in his crib this morning...

On other notes, he is LOVING his daycare. I typically get a casual wave as I walk out the door. Today he made it very clear that me leaving was not enough temptation for him to break his concentration staring at the new pet (guinea pig) in the bigger kid's classroom. The owner of the daycare who spends a lot of time in Evan's room also swears that he has a tapeworm b/c she has never seen a kid eat so much.

He also has been expanding his vocab. We have deciphered that the following sounds that he makes mean something...
OH = Uh Oh
Tah = Tillie
Oof Oof = Woof Woof
Og = Dog
Oo Oo = Monkey Noise (he does this every time he sees the painting of the monkey at daycare)DaDEEEEE = Daddy
Dah = Daddy
Dat = That

He now is showing obsessions with dogs, airplanes, books, dancing and waving! It cracks me up when we are in the car and come to a stoplight with another car next to us and he makes a noise then starts waving at them! He has his whole class waving now!

Updates

Evan seems to have recovered from his teeth coming in/double ear infection "illness" that he had a couple of weeks ago. We used the nebulizer for almost a week before he was able to really breathe better. This is a very sad picture of Evan getting the breathing treatment...Its a good thing Evan recovered because last weekend was a big one! Aunt Kate and Uncle Brian came in from California for the baby shower that Karen (Kate's sister-in-law), Aunt Betsy and I threw here at my house. It looks like I took two pictures of two of the three tables and then got very distracted by hosting! The baby shower was a tea party which I had a great time hosting and hopefully all the guests enjoyed themselves too.
And then my cousin Em took some pictures and was nice enough to send them to me.
This is Elizabeth (9 months), William (4 months) and Evan (13 months)
And the Mommies and Babies!
Kate and Baby To Be Named Later (7.5 months pregnant), Emily and William, Anne and Elizabeth, Evan and I. Kind of funny that all the other ones are dressed nicely and Evan and I are total bums in our hooded sweatshirts!

all boy...with some crazy dance moves

i've learned a lot being a mom to this particular little guy.
1. if it is within arm's reach, it is fair game.
2. we don't do anything walking or sitting, generally we are running if not sprinting.
3. if he is not supposed to have it, he will find it and put it in his mouth.
4. when we are done with our food or drink, we don't just stop eating or drinking, we wing everything as far as we can across the room (yes this happens EVERY time he is done taking a drink...tillie has been bonked on the head multiple times with a flying sippy cup when she is trying to lick up every last morsel that made it to the floor)
5. if mommy puts something INSIDE (a drawer, basket, cupboard, etc) that is obviously a cue to take it back out (and vice versa)
6. why place things or set things down when you can throw them (particularly the mulch outside)
7. if there is a more dangerous way to do things, that is the preferred method
and many, many, many more lessons from being a mommy to the little guy that everyone's first comment after being with him is "HE IS ALL BOY".
as much as he runs around in a day, he has probably earned this marathon medal...
why would you sit on the school bus when you can STAND on the school bus? and, yes, he thinks it is equally funny when he tumbles off of it
and if you are going to sit and push it along, why do it facing forwards when you can ride it backwards?
catching up on his blogs and emails...
he has some crazy dancing skills...
