More Halloween Outfits and Activities

We put together a Halloween sensory tub (thank you very much Pinterest) for E's activity today. It is going to be the first of many sensory tubs because it was a huge hit! He played for about 45 minutes straight with this, and after only an hour or so, he wanted to go back to it. HUGE hit! He woke up from his nap, came straight up to me and said "Mommy, I need to write a big note to the Paci Fairy, but first, I am going to play with the beans"
Round two of playing with the beans...we made musical instruments Grace of course had several Halloween outfits. One because I saw these leggings and just had to have them, and two because she has days (like today) that she keeps on spitting up, so she ends up wearing 10 different outfits.Grace loved the tutu, but I am really not confident that it was meant to be a teething toy

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween from Clifford and Emily Elizabeth!

Quick chat with Aunt Kate, Uncle Brian and Zoe before heading out for his first trick-or-treating experience. Zoe might have been giving him tips...she was going on and on, but I couldn't quite make out what she was saying...Quick practice on our trick-or-treat, please and thank yous...and probably the most important lesson - only taking one treat! And, yes, I went a little overboard on purchasing candy for Halloween. Don't you wish you came to our house to trick or treat? And they are off!Quick stop to examine what he had so far. If this was a video, you would hear him saying, and I got this one, and this one, and this one....If this looks blurry, it is because he is RUNNING. I guess trick or treating is also going to be a workout for our family! And Evan's favorite part of his costume...the TAIL! This costume was hands down a hit with every single person he saw...from the youngest to the oldest person, every single one would yell "clifford, hi clifford!" when they saw E.

More things to chew and LOVE

Give her something to chew on and you have one happy girl

Right now no one can get Grace to smile and giggle like E. Lets see if its all smiles and laughter when he starts breaking the heads off her Barbie dolls.

Pumpkin festival

On Sunday, Bret, Evan, Grace and I (with 6 friends) went to Stony Creek to get pumpkins. Evan is crazy obsessed with animals, so we went to Stony Creek so that he could see the chickens, ponies and donkeys too. I had also promised him that I would find a place that he could ride "horses", so I was pretty excited to be able to follow through on that promise.Evan rode Leroy...he LOVED ITThey had a giant pile of hay strategically placed by the line for the hayrides to the pumpkin patch. Evan would run full steam towards the pile and dive in it...Hayride! Not sure about the rest of our friends, but Kristen and I saw our lives flash before our eyes a few times during this hayride. The sides were shaky at best, and at one sharp turn, I'm pretty sure the wagon was on two wheels.

notice how the goal was to get pumpkins, and I failed to get a single picture of that? Hmmm must have had something to do with the two year old that was with us who started sprinting through the pumpkin patch trying to find the best one. At one point one of our friends accidentally rolled a pumpkin down a hill...it picked up a lot of speed and nearly bowled over a family at the bottom of the hill (my money was on a strike if they hadn't jumped out of the way). Evan thought that looked like a LOT of fun, so we had to make a quick escape.

Lifeguard on Duty

We had some seriously crummy weather last week, so the kids and I brought the fun indoors! Grace thinks Evan is hilarious these days. She smiles when he talks to her and giggles when he is acting like his normal crazy self!

he is so thoughtful sharing his snack with his whale
