Jury is still out on whether he likes storms or not. Sounds like he likes storms but then he doesn't. Yesterday on the drive home from daycare we had to drive through some pretty heavy rain and winds. This is how his conversation went:
Prior to the rain and wind: "I like it storms. I like it"
Right as the wind started: "I like it storms watching Daddy" (this translates to I like watching storms with Daddy which is what he did the day before)
When the storm kicked it up a notch: "I don't like it storms. I don't like it"
PJ shirt, diaper and rain boots. We are choosing our battles right now with our two year old : )
Closer pic of the bedding...SOOO happy to actually have it on the crib (considering it has been sitting in the closet since February!). Since today was the first time I unfolded the bumper, I did find a little surprise. There are two little birds embroidered on the inside...I thought it was a cute little detail!
I also found some birdhouses and painted them to match the bedding.
Brave little guy...he thought it was hysterical to sit down or float on his belly in "deep" water
It took a long time, several diversions and eventually Bret sprinting away while carrying Evan to remove E from the pool on the last day

Mickey Ears! He wore them around the store, and actually wouldn't take them off for us to purchase them. The cashier had to scan another pair. Not long after we purchased the ears though, Evan walked right back into the store and placed the Mickey Ears on the floor. He turned around, walked into another section and picked up....
A Donald Duck hat. This he also would not take off....
Evan was not all that interested in riding Dumbo, but he did request to ride the carousel that was right next to it. When he saw the Dumbo ride start up, he was mesmerized and kept saying "Whoa". 
LOVED the teacups...Evan sat on Bret's lap and did the majority of the spinning. He was cracking up the entire time! Didn't love trying to get a picture..
Also didn't love one of Grammy's favorite rides...Buzz Lightyear. They take your picture on this ride, and Bret and I are both turned around looking back trying to be encouraging to Evan in our picture, and Evan's head is buried in Packaw's shoulder in their picture.
Then it was a pool afternoon. Today's souvenir obsession - a bubble gun. DRAMA when this ran out of bubbles AND he wore out the batteries.
And of course another trip to Downtown Disney to get ice cream!!!

They were somewhere up by the castle in the madness that is Magic Kingdom Main Street right before a parade

They also had what I think was a strategically placed fountain at the bottom of one of the rides that kids can't ride. He had a blast while Grammy, Packaw and Daddy rode Animal Kingdom's version of a roller coast. A once and a lifetime experience for Grammy and Packaw ; ).
They also had petting zoo that was also a huge hit with Evan. He was so brave with the animals...he touched the pig's hoof.
and loved petting the goats. They had a picture of a girl petting a goat in one of the books Bret and I bought to plan our trip, and we showed it to him right before we left. The whole train ride over to this portion of Animal Kingdom he kept saying "pet a goat, pet a goat"...it was adorable.
Evan liked a goat named Willis, so when one of the Disney workers took Willis out of the petting area, he followed to check it out. This goat followed Evan. I was a half second too late, but it was priceless. Evan was standing at the fence and didn't realize that the goat was standing inches away from him. He looked over; his eyes got really wide and then he bailed.

Oh, and when Evan says he needs to go potty...he means now.

Hydrating before the safari ride! If I had to pick one decision that Bret and I made that was our best decision, it was packing the CamelBak. Evan doesn't care to take breaks to drink water from his sippy, but he would drink all day long with no problem from the CamelBak. Hydration was not a problem in the very hot Florida weather! 
Whoa giraffe...Evan, Packaw and Daddy really enjoyed the Safari ride. I had to sit it out because expectant mothers weren't supposed to ride it.
And the afternoon was spent at the pool...playing in the kiddie pool and floating around the lazy river. Evan liked this pool until a bully started splashing him in the face and taking his beach ball. Seriously wondered why no one was parenting that child.
Such a little man...carried his backpack the entire way through the airport and wouldn't let anyone else help with his suitcase!

The hotel was AWESOME. 4 pools with lazy rivers, different kiddie pools and zero entry pools. We were all definitely in heaven on our afternoons that we spent in the pool!

YAY first time Disney visitors! Bret and Evan let the memories begin ; ) This is actually the last time that we successfully got Evan to ride in the stroller. If you notice Packaw and Daddy getting more and more defined arm, shoulder and back muscles in the pictures, it is because they were the ones that carried approx 28lbs of Evan around ALL DAY LONG.
THE BALL...Evan started shouting this from the moment it was visible from the bus.
Hanging out in the back of the bus with Grammy and Lori (soon to be grandma!)...Evan gave her lots of practice which might have made her somewhat excited and somewhat dreading being a grandma since he is in a full fledged ME DO IT stage
By the end of the trip Evan was talking non-stop about Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto. This is the first of MANY souvenirs...Evan is one lucky little guy. He slept with Pluto during his naps and at night....until he got a tiger at Animal Kingdom. Then, Pluto had to sleep at the foot of the bed and tiger (or lion if you ask E) got to sleep with Evan. Tonight, he is sleeping with Goofy.
One of Evan's favorite characters...Donald Duck. He, however, prefers him as a stuffed toy rather than in real life. All of the characters were cool to him....from a distance of 10'. This Donald was a little too close for comfort...if there was audio, you would hear Evan telling Bret, "no, no, no, no" repeatedly.
