HOT Summer!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!  Is it just me or is it super hot this summer!  I know we were roasting around this time in June last year as well because I definitely remember leaving the hospital with Grace on a 100+ degree day with 800% humidity.  I also thought it was going to be great to have a baby at the "beginning" of summer so we could spend a lot of time outside.  WRONG.  We are making the best of it this year, taking our walks early in the morning, playing in lots of water, and taking full advantage of a very cool finished basement!

and my little man....this is his, "i'm about to do something that will probably make you mad" face.  if he is standing by the pirate ship, that generally means he is about to climb in it.



gearing up for another walk...



evan typically wants to bike on one of his three bikes for our walks, but when i went out to get grace in the stroller on monday, he had pulled out the wagon and was patiently waiting for us.  he had decided that he wanted to take a wagon ride!  since their are belts, grace was big enough to go along for the ride!  we have taken several more wagon rides, and they kids love it!  they really like having a little snack on our walk and the nice convenient cup holders for each of their sippy cups.  grace isn't particular on which one she drinks out of...evan isn't a fan of that at all.



Racquetball!!!  Evan had his second racquetball class today, and I think he did a great job!  the teacher let the moms stay outside of the court which really helped evan get more involved in the class.  he maybe got so distracted while chasing a ball that he ran smack into the wall, BUT i think he enjoyed hitting the ball back and forth with the other kids.  he might really like tennis since those pesky walls aren't as much of an issue on a larger court.
