I'm not sure how it happened, but our little baby girl is turning into a toddler! More and more people are commenting on how she is starting to look like a little girl and not a baby...I may or may not be crying daily about this comment.
Right now this is where Grace is at....
Moves ALL over the place at a lightening quick speed. Pulls herself up and can climb a flight of stairs by herself (obviously i'm right behind her...she may be my second child but i'm not slacking that much!). Makes every object into something to play peek a boo with. Signing all done/no more (quite emphatically) and on occasion will sign for more. toddles behind a push toy, but she sometimes needs someone to slow the roll of the toy for her legs to catch up. gives nice hugs...especially when she has just woken up! copies things like bouncing when she sees bret and i jumping during our work out. verbally..she LOVES saying something like AH, having you say it back, and then she repeats it back...this is a game that she plays a lot! she never really nailed a two nap schedule, but in the last week or so, she has been showing signs that she might be getting ready to make the move to one nap. because she moves NON STOP, she is starting to slim done, her hair (light brown) no longer sticks straight up in the air (VERY sad about this change), and her eyes are the strangest thing....you may think they look brown in pictures, but they aren't brown. they aren't blue either...they are kind of both? kind of gray/tan/blue combo...which i'm guessing might be a form of hazel eyes!
she still loves doors and drawers, and now is a huge fan of climbing up and standing on the first step (i don't share her excitement on this one). her favorite food is hands down graham crackers!
i can't believe that she will be one in less than a month! my money is still on her being around 14 months before she walks, but this is fine by me!
