Lake Tippy 4th of July Celebration

With Bret out of town the weekend after the 4th, the kids and I headed over to the lake to hang out with Packaw, Uncle Phil and Samantha

Phil attempted some synchronized jumping with his puppy.  She must not have understood his instructions because Phil jumped, and Samantha never moved a muscle

this is the first of many failed bedtime attempts that night.  it was 6,000 degrees outside which meant it was just shy of a million degrees upstairs in the cabin.  grace finally went down a couple hours after he bedtime, and by the time we felt a small break in the temp, it was just a few minutes before the fireworks were scheduled to start.  SO, i allowed evan to stay up for his first lake tippy 4th of july fireworks!  we all thought he would bail immediately because he was terrified of the fireworks at disney.  but, we could not have been more wrong.  he loved the fireworks!  he was so tired that he ended up falling asleep towards the end, but when we woke him up clapping during the finale, he jumped up and was immediately clapping and cheering like he didn't miss a second!
