Bret went above and beyond to make my 30th birthday and Evan's 4th birthday special. First, he initiated the plans to get Kate, Brian, Zoe and Emma into Indiana for a week, and then, he (along with some other members of the family) arranged to have more family and friends come to celebrate

| evan and ebie reunited! he can hardly wait for summer to get her so that he can play with ebie practically every weekend. |

| zoe REALLY wanted to help e with his presents, and being the good sport that he is, he was mostly good about letting the other kids rip a few corners of wrapping paper. i have never seen so many presents open so quickly. presents and paper were flying everywhere! |

| the cake! bret was in charge of the cake this year, and i think it is pretty safe to say that evan will demand that daddy does the cake every year. it helps when you are on a first name basis with a bakery! they really went all out to make evan's cake special. it was almost looked too good to eat. evan called dibs on the volcano...which was actually edible. |
