Memorial Day Weekend

evan was super excited that he could also hunt for shells in the lake water just like at the beach

we are SO cool

and grammy had the magic touch for getting grace to finally fall asleep.  this came in handy when i caught the memorial day weekend stomach virus and didn't leave the couch for the entire day!  no idea what i would have done if i didn't have a team of family lined up to entertain and watch the kids.

grace is VERY excited to be spending all her summer weekends at the lake

evan is his packaw's #1 fan...especially when he spends two days straight working in the heat and humidity to assemble a swing set.  unfortunately the swing set was completed on the day that i was stuck to the couch, so i didn't get pictures of it and the sheer joy from two little kids it created. 

jumping in the water was just as much fun as the two kids remembered from last year!

but this year we have some new water confidence and evan would spend a lot of time just floating around in his tube and wings!

grace loved the water too...in fact my mom is actually holding her hands so that she would stop sticking her head under water....on purpose. 

and evan is now 2 for 2 in successfully getting another child interested in using the potty!  hopefully ebie keeps up the good work, and i hope that evan is still excited about teaching other kids when grace gets to that point!

evan may look like me, but his interests are 100% exactly like his daddy!  these two had a blast spending tons of time on the end of the pier catching fish after fish.  i will have to get some footage of him casting because he is quite good!
